The Unit Circle Math Activities

Definition

The unit circle is a circle with a radius of 1 unit centered at the origin $(0,0)$ on the coordinate plane. Every point on the unit circle satisfies the equation $x^2 + y^2 = 1$. In trigonometry, the unit circle is used to define the sine, cosine, and tangent of an angle, where the cosine of an angle is the $x$-coordinate and the sine is the $y$-coordinate of the point on the circle corresponding to that angle.
