What is Shape Categories?
- Are you familiar with polygons that have 4 sides? These are called Quadrilaterals. They have 4 sides, 4 vertices, and 4 angles. The sum of the interior angles is always equal to 360 degrees.
PARALLELOGRAM – Two pairs of parallel sides and opposite sides are equal
RECTANGLE – Four right angles and opposite sides are equal
TRAPEZOID – Two sides are parallel to each other
SQUARE – Four right angles and Four equal sides
RHOMBUS – Parallelogram with four equal sides
KITE – Two pairs of adjacent sides of the same length
