Definition

Triangle congruence means that two triangles are exactly the same in shape and size. If two triangles are congruent, all of their corresponding sides and corresponding angles are equal.

To prove two triangles are congruent, several criteria (shortcuts) can be used:

SSS (Side-Side-Side): All three sides are equal.
