July Calendar

July 4 – 4th of July 

The 4th of July, also known as Independence Day, commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. It marks the United States’ freedom from British rule and celebrates the birth of American democracy with fireworks, parades, and festivities nationwide.

July 11 – World Population Day

World Population Day raises awareness about global population issues. It emphasizes the importance of reproductive health and family planning to ensure sustainable development and a better quality of life worldwide.

July 14 – Bastille Day

Marks the French national holiday commemorating the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789 during the French Revolution.

July 20 – National Moon Day

Commemorates the historic day in 1969 when humans first landed on the moon during NASA’s Apollo 11 mission. Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made history by stepping onto the lunar surface.

July 24 – Amelia Earhart Day

This day honors the pioneering aviator Amelia Earhart, who set numerous aviation records and significantly promoted women’s involvement in aviation. 

July 30 – International Friendship Day

International Friendship Day, celebrated on the first Sunday of August (in some countries, it’s on July 30th), promotes the importance of friendship and encourages people to foster bonds of camaraderie and understanding among individuals, communities, and nations.
