What are Halves & Quarters?

Halves

To have one-half of an amount, the amount must be split into two groups, and there must be the same amount in each of the two groups.
Reminder that a half is always equal to its other half!

Quarters

A quarter is a one part of a whole when divided by four!
When 2 quarters are added together, they will be a perfect half.
The word quarter came from the latin word Quartus, which mean “of the fourth”.

A quarter will always have 4 in its denominator in fraction form
