What is Mardi Gras?
For the year 2022, Mardi Gras will be celebrated on March 1! Are you ready? Set up this alarm by rounding it to the nearest hour!
Understanding Estimating and Rounding Time
- Depending on what’s indicated, you can estimate time by the hour, quarter-hour, or even by 5 minutes.
- To estimate by the hour, 30 minutes and above are rounded up, and 29 minutes below are rounded down.
- If asked to estimate time by quarter-hour, more than half of that quarter is rounded up, and less than half is rounded down.
- To round time by the 5-minute mark, if the minute is or ends with 1, 2, 6 or 7, you round down, and if it is or ends with 3, 4, 8, or 9, you round up!
