Who are these worksheets for?

This pack is suitable for learners aged 5 to 7 years old or 1st and 2nd grades (USA). The content covers fact files and relevant basic and advanced activities involving drawing the clock.

Drawing Clock Hands

  • Drawing a clock helps visualize how and what the time is.
  • Time has two parts, the Minute hand, and the Hour Hand.
  • The minute hand is the longer hand while the hour hand is shorter.
  • Every number is multiplied by 5 when telling the minute. For example, if you point the minute hand at the number 1 that means it is 5 minutes.

HOW TO TELL TIME

  • Determine the hour and minute you are supposed to tell.
  • Draw the Hour Hand first as it is easier to tell.
  • Every 5 minutes is 1 figure on the clock. If it’s 10 minutes, point it in 2. If it’s 15 points in 3, and so on.
  • If the minute is not by 5’s find the nearest figure it is on and use the lines as guides, if it’s 13 minutes it is in between 2 and 3.
