Definition
Division is the inverse operation of multiplication with a goal of seeing how many equal groups or how many in each group shares fairly.
Summary
To divide decimal numbers:
- If the divisor is a decimal number, move the decimal point to right to make it a whole number and move the decimal point in dividend the same number of places.
- Perform division. Keep dividing until the answer terminates or repeats.
- Put decimal point directly above decimal point in the dividend.
