What is Consecutive Numbers?

  • Consecutive numbers are numbers that follow each other in a continuous order from the smallest number to the largest.
  • The predecessor is the number directly before a number, while the successor is the number directly after a number.
  • They usually have a common difference of 1 between the predecessor and successor.
  • For a more complex condition, like consecutive even numbers, the common difference between the numbers may be more than 1.
