A PRIME number is a number which has only two factors. A COMPOSITE number has two or more factors.

## Summary:

PRIME numbers are numbers which only have two factors. PRIME numbers can only be divided by 1 and ITSELF.

COMPOSITE numbers are numbers which have more than two factors. COMPOSITE numbers can be divided by 1, itself, and another number.

## Example:

2 is a prime number because it can only be divided by 1 and 2.
2 ÷ 1 = 2
2 ÷ 2 = 1

4 is a composite number because it can be divided by 1, 2, and 4.
4 ÷ 1 = 4
4 ÷ 2 = 2
4 ÷ 4 = 1
