We use addition in everyday life. When we count money and combine them, we are actually applying the concept of addition! If we like to know the total number of notebooks you have in your bag, we simply add them! If we also like to know the total number of flags can we see in the park, we can just simply add them!

When we add 1 and 2, we get …
1 + 2 = 3

When we add 2 and 3, we get …
2 + 3 = 5
